CAI is seeking a self motivated, reliable and productive Professional Engineer who specializes in design and permitting of water and wastewater utilities, and agricultural pump stations. Project assignments include emphasis on:

Responsibilities include:
- Design

Required Qualifications:

CAI is seeking a self motivated, reliable and experienced survey crew chief. Primary duties will include design surveys, boundary & topographic surveys, route surveys and construction stakeout using conventional, GPS and HD Scanning survey equipment.
Responsibilities and requirements include:
- Oversees survey field crew
- Manages field related tasks from beginning of project through completion
- Performs complex survey measurements and computations including field note reduction
- Operates, checks and performs basic field adjustments on all survey equipment
- Maintain survey equipment, vehicles and supplies
- Uses, obtains and interprets control point records and locates in the field
- Perform field surveying for roadway, utilities, pipeline, site development and other civil engineering related projects
- Installation of surveying construction stakes and locating or establishing vertical and horizontal control, right-of-way, monuments, corners, boundaries and property lines
- The ability to periodically work out of town for a week or so at a time is a plus
- Must be able to comprehend and interpret site, boundary, roadway, pipeline and utility plans, profiles and cross-sections, horizontal and vertical curves and contours.
- Must be able to endure strenuous physical activity in the outdoors (environments include canals, swamps, woods, pastures, roadways, etc.)

CAI is seeking a civil engineering graduate with an accredited BSCE degree to work with our professional staff to accomplish a wide range of civil engineering services. The candidate will be expected to become proficient with Auto Cad Civil 3D for the preparation of various design drawings. Experience with design of grading, paving, roadways, drainage conveyance, stormwater management, water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, pump stations and pipelines is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate will also be knowledgeable of development and permitting of site plans, subdivisions and municipal projects.
Required Qualifications:
- A BSCE degree from an accredited college or university
- Self motivated with ability to work with project team under the guidance of professional engineers and project managers
- Excellent communication skills
- AutoCAD experience (Civil 3D preferred)
- Proficient with WORD and EXCEL
- Experience with ICPR or other stormwater modeling software a plus.
- Strong prioritization and organizational skills
CAI has full time openings for qualified Civil 3D CAD technicians for both survey and civil engineering projects. Areas of proficiency should include pipe networks, surfaces, grading, corridors, processing survey field data, survey preparation, survey databases, points, cross-sections and profiles. Familiarity with GIS Mapping and software, entity creation/editing and databases is a plus as is experience with ICPR or other stormwater modeling software. Candidates must have good communication skills and the ability to work with others.

CAI is seeking self motivated and reliable individual to provide construction observation services for civil engineering projects on a part time basis.
Responsibilities include:
- Plans and coordinates on-site construction phase engineering activities
- Preparation of daily construction observation reports with photos
- Communication with contractors and subcontractors
- Communication with CAI project manager
- Communication with inspectors from jurisdictional entities
- Reviews contractor’s pay requests
- Review of construction drawings and specifications
- Identify issues early and work to develop solutions
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years engineering related experience with the construction of grading, drainage, paving (asphalt and concrete), water transmission, wastewater collection and pumping, stormwater management facilities and all other land development construction scopes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good working knowledge of EXCEL and WORD
- Familiarity with standard details and specifications of jurisdictional entities
